Education Secretary DeVos Meets with LGBT Activist

Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos met twice with LGBT activist who encouraged her to advance the “civil rights” of trans students. In an interview with LifeSiteNews, Greg Quinlan, a former homosexual and LGBT activist asks “What about us?”

Gregory Quinlan is the president of the Center for Garden State Families, a pro-family non-profit based in New Jersey. “She’s had two meetings with gay and trans activists. Can we have at least one?” Quinlan said.

Quinlan called on DeVos to “do her research” to become educated fully about the subject of gender identification and homosexuality, and not just hear from one special interest lobby.

“This is too critical of an issue to allow input only from the gay and trans lobbyists. Hearing from both sides is necessary to have a proper understanding of the issue. Our kids deserve balanced input on the issue.” Quinlan said. “Betsy DeVos must not allow herself and her office to be used to perpetuate the notion that homosexuality is innate, that boys can become girls and vice versa. They can’t.”

“Impressionable kids are mutilating their bodies with surgery altering the chemistry through hormones and drugs in pursuit of radical transgender ‘identities,’” he said. “The last thing they need is one-sided misinformation regarding sexual development and gender coming from the U.S. Department of Education.”
