Urgent Update! Today Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives
Urgent Update! Today Nancy Pelosi’s House of Representatives passed the fraudulently named “Equality Act” HR5. The vote 224 yeas, 206 nays. Every Democrat United States Representative from New Jersey voted Yes! The two New Jersey Republican United States Representatives voted no.
A 18 vote margin for this attack on women, children, and the First Amendment. The bill did not go through regular order. When a bill is introduced it is first read in the record and then assigned to a committee.

Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi broke her own rules and put the bill from introduction straight to the floor for a vote! With the Democrats in charge, it seems rules don’t matter. Procedure is irrelevant. Public comment and testimony are unnecessary when you’re being paid to push a law that the public doesn’t want.
The bill now proceeds to the United States Senate. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer Democrat from New York will likely also skip the committee process and tried to bring it to the Senate floor for a vote. Following the example of Nancy Pelosi, he may try to change the rules or even ignore them. However, there is the filibuster to stop this bill from getting to the desk of President Biden. Biden has promised to sign the bill into law.
Every New Jersey Democrat voted in favor of HR5.Every New Jersey Republican Voted against HR5.
