This bill protects and shields those who mutilate children in the womb and after the womb.
This bill criminalizes speech that opposes the mutilation of children in the womb and after the womb.

On June 30, the New Jersey Legislature passed A2218/S2260. It now goes to Governor Sherrill for her signature.
This bill:
Creates new criminal and civil penalties
Strips medical licensing boards of authority to discipline reproductive health providers
Exposes parents and citizens to lawsuits and prosecution
Has a significant taxpayer cost, as determined by the Office of Legislative Services, which concludes: "that this bill will result in an indeterminate annual increase in State and local expenditures and State revenues. The OLS lacks sufficient information to quantify the fiscal impact, as it is not possible to estimate the number of crimes likely to be prosecuted under the provisions of this bill."
