Honoring Fathers on This Father’s Day – Guardians of Faith, Freedom, and Family
Dear Friend,
This Father’s Day, we pause to celebrate the irreplaceable role of fathers in our homes, our communities, and the very foundation of our nation. As fathers, grandfathers, and father-figures, you stand in a noble tradition that stretches back to the Founding Fathers of this great republic – men of deep and abiding faith who trusted in Almighty God, championed liberty, and embraced the principles of free enterprise that built America into the land of opportunity.
The Founding Fathers understood that strong families, rooted in Christian principles, are essential to a free and prosperous society. John Adams declared, “The general principles on which the fathers achieved independence were the general principles of Christianity.” Patrick Henry boldly affirmed that “this great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the gospel of Jesus Christ.” These were not abstract beliefs. They shaped a vision of government that protects God-given rights – life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness – while safeguarding the natural family as the bedrock of society.
Our Founders also championed free enterprise as the engine of human flourishing. They rejected heavy-handed government control in favor of opportunity, industry, and personal responsibility. They believed that when families are protected, and individuals are free to work, innovate, and build, entire communities thrive. This legacy of faith, freedom, and enterprise continues today in the fight to preserve parental rights, defend religious liberty, lower the crushing tax burdens on New Jersey families, and protect our children from harmful ideologies.
We at the Center for Garden State Families are grateful for fathers like you who lead with courage and conviction. In your homes, you model the sacrificial love of our Heavenly Father. In our state, you stand as watchmen for the values that made America exceptional. Your daily faithfulness echoes the resolve of those who pledged their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor more than 250 years ago.
This Father’s Day, we invite you to renew that commitment with us. Protected Families. Strong Garden State. True Freedom. Together, we can ensure that the next generation inherits not just the blessings of liberty, but the moral and spiritual foundation needed to sustain it.
