New Jersey Legislature's Obsession with Abortion!
Rewarding Planned Parenthood for Supporting Their Election
New Jersey continues its aggressive push to expand abortion access and undermine pro-life efforts at the expense of unborn children and vulnerable women. Four troubling bills are scheduled for a hearing in the Assembly Community Development and Women's Affairs Committee on March 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM in Committee Room 15, 4th Floor, State House Annex, Trenton, NJ. These measures attack life-affirming pregnancy resource centers, facilitate interstate abortion promotion, and erode protections for the unborn.
We must act now to oppose this package of bills that prioritizes abortion over life, truth, and family!
Here's what these bills would do—and why they threaten the sanctity of life:
A1679 (Sponsored by Reynolds-Jackson, Verlina/Park, Ellen J.): Targets faith-based pregnancy resource centers by classifying certain advertising practices as "deceptive" under the Consumer Fraud Act. This is a direct assault on pro-life ministries that provide free ultrasounds, counseling, material support, and alternatives to abortion. These centers save lives by offering truthful, compassionate help to women in crisis—yet this bill would subject them to penalties and investigations, chilling their vital work and infringing on free speech and religious freedom.
A1970 (Sponsored by Quijano, Annette/McCoy, Tennille R./Bagolie, Rosaura): Commits New Jersey to the Women's Reproductive Health Care Compact, creating interstate alliances to promote and protect abortion access, including shielding providers and patients from laws in pro-life states. This would turn our state into a hub for out-of-state abortions, ignoring the rights of unborn children and enabling the destruction of innocent life across borders.
A4074 (Sponsored by Drulis, Mitchelle/Katz, Andrea/Peterpaul, Luanne M.): Mandates a state-issued "Reproductive Health Travel Advisory" warning residents about pro-life laws in other states. This politicizes government resources to discourage travel to states that protect unborn children, effectively promoting abortion tourism and undermining efforts to value life from conception.
A4532 (Sponsored by Drulis, Mitchelle – Pending Introduction): Prohibits sharing automated license plate reader data for investigations into reproductive services legal in NJ (i.e., abortions). This shields abortion-related activities from legitimate interstate law enforcement scrutiny, potentially aiding evasion of accountability in cases involving coercion, trafficking concerns, or other harms—while prioritizing abortion access over broader public safety and justice.
These bills are part of a coordinated effort to entrench unlimited abortion in New Jersey, harass pro-life pregnancy centers that offer real help to mothers and babies, and silence voices for life. As a state that already has some of the most extreme abortion policies, we cannot allow further erosion of protections for the unborn.
