The Ancient of Days became a baby born of a Virgin.
The baby was the Perfect Lamb without Spot or Blemish.
The Perfect Lamb became the Sinless sacrifice for the whole world.
The Heavenly Host declared “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Among all the gift-giving and feasting Remember that Salvation has come.
He is Christ the Lord.

The Center for Garden State Families would like to continue our series on worldview. Christmas is upon us, and we cannot help but be reminded of John 1:1-5, which says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John uses the Greek term Logos to describe our Lord Jesus Christ and His coming to this earth. In the Greek Logos literally means the idea, the Word, the rational pattern of creation, the order of the universe, and reason, both in the sense of rationality and articulation of the cause of something. It is the Logos that is at the foundation of a Biblical worldview. The Word of God is what aligns our hearts and minds with the Creator of the Universe. Our worldview is a lens through which we see the world around us, and that lens allows us to make distinctions and decisions in our lives.
A worldview is the total set of assumptions that a person holds, either consciously or unconsciously, about the world and how it works. It is sometimes referred to as a belief system or a mind-set. We typically acquire our worldviews in childhood and youth, yet we rarely examine the assumptions that comprise them later in life. Many will not take time and think about what they have been taught over the years and why. Our schools are filled with an indoctrination that goes against Biblical principles, and this distorts our thinking. We find ourselves going along with the culture without discerning if what we are thinking and doing is right or wrong.
A Biblical Worldview helps us understand creation and answer where we came from and who we are. It also allows us to answer what has gone wrong with this world, and lastly, it leads us to what we can do to fix it. We need to examine our worldviews more now than ever because we are dealing with competing philosophies designed to steal our minds and imprison our souls and remove our very rights and liberties. In previous articles, we have revealed the worldview of those in economics and how the underlying premise of their worldview involves the taking away of private property. Yet the scriptures clarify that the Incarnate Logos is God Himself who granted dominion of the earth to man for us to enjoy His creation. At no time did the Logos give up His Sovereignty to us. The scripture makes clear in Colossians 1:15 – 20 “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him, all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together. And he is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of his cross. The Incarnation of the Logos saw the world witness one of the most extraordinary sacrifices of God. He reduced Himself to cells in a woman’s womb giving up His Great Majesty in exchange for the humility of a servant to us all. The scripture says, For in him, all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell to reconcile Himself to those who would recognize the Logos.
We are told in 1 Corinthians 2:12-16, “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God. And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who are spiritual. The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual person judges all things, but is himself to be judged by no one. For who has understood the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.” We have the Incarnate Logos in our hearts and minds, which elevates our discernment protecting us from all deceit and deception all around us.
As this year comes to a close, we have seen a totalitarian technocracy rise up, complete with medical tyranny to create draconian lockdowns and surveillance. We are seeing a new kind of communism emerge to reset the global economy to further eliminate our liberties and freedoms right down to our private property. Now more than ever, we must remember the words from Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” We must restore our hearts and minds to the foundation of truth and, more importantly, a Biblical Worldview. May we celebrate on December 25th the Incarnation of the Logos when God Himself dwelt amongst us to free us from the bondage and deceit of this world. Our Salvation is in the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
